Overview
Forum for Environmental Conservation and Management (FECAM) is the departmental club of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Kathmandu University. Established on 20 March 2007 (Chaitra 6, 2063 B.S.), FECAM is a non-profit, service-driven organization run by Environmental Engineering students. The club is committed to fostering awareness of environmental and social issues while promoting sustainable and eco-friendly practices that contribute to a better future.
FECAM plays a vital role in providing B.Tech. and B.E. Environmental Engineering students with diverse academic, environmental, and socio-cultural experiences. It serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, leadership development, teamwork, resilience, and community engagement that extends beyond university life.

In recent years, FECAM has successfully organized its flagship annual event, PRAKRITI, which has become a platform for learning, innovation, and collaboration in Environmental Engineering. The event has featured hands-on workshops on AutoCAD and Hydroponics, research-oriented sessions, and thought-provoking debates. Activities such as the Trashion Show promoting sustainable fashion, Acoustic Night, ENE Sports, and recreational workshops like crochet have been particularly well received by students.
FECAM also publishes its annual departmental magazine, AYIKA, which showcases articles, event summaries, student achievements, and memorable contributions from the Environmental Engineering community.
Overall, FECAM continues to inspire environmental responsibility and sustainable development while nurturing academic excellence, leadership, and a strong sense of community among Environmental Engineering students.
